What We Believe

  • The Bible to be the Word of God and the authority for our actions.  (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  • Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, suffered and was crucified under Pontius Pilate, died and was buried, raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return to earth again someday. (Matthew 1:18; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15; John 14:1-6)

  • The Bible teaches that all have sinned against God and are consequently lost and without hope apart from Jesus. (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)

  • The Bible teaches that salvation and the forgiveness of sins is achieved only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-10; Matthew 26-28; Romans 5:9)

  • The Bible teaches that one receives God's grace by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Christ, and being immersed into Christ, but that none of these are sufficient in and of itself for the assurance of salvation. (Romans 5:1-2; 6:1-7; Luke 24:45-47; Acts 3:19; 2:38; 17:30; Matthew 10:32; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:12; 1 Peter 3:21)

  • Every church member is a minister and responsible for using his/her gifts to grow

    God's Kingdom. (Romans 12:4-11)
